HPE LTO-8 Ultrium RW Bar Code Label Pack The HPE LTO-8 Ultrium RW Barcode Label Pack Q2015A are random barcode label sequences for HPE LTO Ultrium 8 tape library users. The HPE LTO8 Ultrium 8 RW barcode label pack provides LTO 8 compatible labels with single horizontal format with L8 media generation identifier. These HPE tape barcode labels are compatible with all HPE LTO Ultrium 8 cartridges and their HPE HP tape libraries, and nearly all other brands of LTO Ultrium 8 tapes and their tape libraries can use them as well. Each HPE LTO Ultrium 8 pack contains 100 unique LTO8 tape re-writeable (RW) data cartridge barcode labels in sequence and 10 LTO cleaning cartridge barcode labels in sequence. No two pack sequences are ever identical to avoid data integrity issues in archives.

HP Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge LTO Ultrium cleaning tape is orange in colour signifying the HPE branded LTO Ultrium Universal cleaning cartridge. They will clean between 15 and 50 times depending on the drive and it's age, and cleanlines which is dependant on the quality, age and storage environment of the LTO tapes you are using. The cleaning process takes around 30 seconds. The HPE LTO cleaning tape cleans the heads which write and read the data, as well as other parts in the tape path of the drive. This cleaning process improves the performance of the drive and the quality and amount of the data backed up to the tape. As tape drives get older and out of spec, or the tapes get older the tape drive will require more cleaning and this cartridge will give a lesser number of cleans. Your drive is then becoming unreliable or the heads are failing and data written becomes poor and more difficult to read. This is a good time to call for service if you still have maintenance cover or consider replacing the tape drive. Although HPE which stands for Hewlitt Packard Enterprise media offers extreme reliability under a whole range of conditions, it is still advisable to follow a sensible procedure when handling and storing cartridges in order to maximise the life of your tapes. Many causes of recording or read errors are temporary and can be corrected by use of a cleaning cartridge. Regular drive cleaning is essential to the long-term reliability of your data on the tapes written in that drive. Regular use of the HPE LTO Ultrium cleaning cartridge should be considered on a scheduled cycle, as well as when requested by the drive. This HPE LTO Ultrium universal cleaning cartridge is designed for use with HP and HPE LTO Ultrium drives and they can also be used on any other brand of drives as long as they show the LTO Ultrium logo.
