1. Typ zařízení:
Základními stavebními prvky sítě jsou routery, switche, přístupové body a extender moduly. Router řídí tok dat a připojení k internetu. Switche rozšiřují LAN síť. Access pointy zajišťují kvalitní bezdrátové pokrytí. Mesh systémy pokrývají větší prostory bez ztráty signálu.
2. Rychlost a standard WiFi (WiFi 5/6/6E/7):
Sledujte podporované standardy – WiFi 5 (802.11ac) je dnes minimum, WiFi 6 (802.11ax) nabízí vyšší rychlosti, nižší latenci a větší kapacitu připojení. WiFi 6E a WiFi 7 přinášejí širší frekvenční pásma (6 GHz), ideální pro náročné prostředí a chytré domácnosti s desítkami zařízení.
3. Rychlost LAN a WAN portů:
Kvalitní zařízení nabízí gigabitové LAN porty (1 Gbps), pokročilé modely i 2.5G nebo 10G porty pro vyšší propustnost. WAN port rozhoduje o maximální rychlosti připojení k internetu. Pro připojení NAS, serverů nebo streamování ve 4K doporučujeme alespoň 1G porty.
4. Pokrytí signálem a počet antén:
Silné antény a beamforming technologie zvyšují dosah i kvalitu signálu. Mesh systémy rozšiřují pokrytí na více pater nebo budov. Sledujte hodnotu zisku antény (např. 5 dBi) a přítomnost technologie MU-MIMO pro paralelní komunikaci s více zařízeními.
5. Počet současně připojených zařízení:
WiFi 6 a vyšší zvládají desítky připojených zařízení bez přetížení. Sledujte parametry jako počet simultánních klientů, ideální pro chytré domácnosti, kanceláře nebo kavárny. Některé routery mají funkce QoS (Quality of Service) pro řízení priorit provozu.
6. Bezpečnost a řízení sítě:
Zařízení by měla podporovat WPA3, firewally, VPN tunelování (IPSec, OpenVPN), rodičovskou kontrolu a pravidelnou aktualizaci firmwaru. Business modely navíc umožňují VLAN segmentaci, detekci útoků a centrální správu přes kontroler.

Sledujte možnost přidání dalších AP, mesh modulů, správy přes cloud (např. TP-Link Omada, UniFi Controller) nebo přes mobilní aplikaci. Správa může být lokální i vzdálená, což zjednodušuje administraci větších sítí.
8. PoE podpora:
Power over Ethernet umožňuje napájet zařízení (AP, IP kamery, VoIP telefony) přímo přes síťový kabel. PoE switche a injektory jsou efektivním řešením pro instalace bez zásuvek. Sledujte standardy 802.3af/at/bt a maximální příkon na port.
9. Značka a ekosystém:
Výrobci jako Ubiquiti, MikroTik, TP-Link nebo Cisco nabízejí celé síťové ekosystémy, kde zařízení spolupracují a jsou spravována centrálně. To je klíčové pro firmy, školy i pokročilé domácnosti, které hledají stabilitu a škálovatelnost.
10. Záruka a aktualizace firmwaru:
Kvalitní síťová zařízení by měla mít pravidelné aktualizace a minimálně 2–5 let záruku. Sledujte dostupnost české podpory, přehlednou dokumentaci a komunitu uživatelů. Aktualizace zajišťují bezpečnost a přidávají nové funkce.
